Biography

Kate Polizzi has been an associate with the firm since becoming barred in 2008 and is now a member. Prior to becoming an attorney, she managed a title company and duties included reviewing title searches and clearing title defects; conducting settlements and processing commercial closings. Continuing her work in the real estate field, her law practice now focuses on commercial, real estate and lending transactions, representing lenders, developers, homebuilders and borrowers in the DC Metro area. She has represented national, regional and local lenders in an array of financing transactions including real estate acquisition, development, and/or construction loans, secured and unsecured commercial lines of credit, and loan restructurings, refinances and workouts.  Kate’s clients also include national and local developers and homebuilders, and other businesses handling negotiations of purchase and sales agreements, land development agreements, easements, and leases as well as performing due diligence review for closing transactions. She is also well experienced in structuring and organizing business entities and handling business acquisitions and mergers.
